NDAA Approved Security Cameras
NDAA Compliant Cameras
NDAA (National Defense Authorization Act) Approved HD IP Security cameras are cameras that are not on the non-approved vendors/manufacturers list to allow for installation in US government buildings and/or public funded jobs. The manufacturers of these cameras vary depending on model, but all have been carefully selected to ensure that chipsets and firmwares from the non-approved manufacturers are not used.
The National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) is a federal law in the United States which specifies budget, expenditures and policies of the US Department of Defense. It prohibits the US government from purchasing certain video and telecommunications equipment from specific Chinese companies and their subsidiaries.
The NDAA does not affect private held companies that do not do business with the US DoD.
