Almost every camera system over the past 2 decades has told clients "We can send you text alerts" when your cameras detect motion. This has been a somewhat true statement, they CAN send those alerts, but most clients will never use them. This is due to the fact that all of these systems are prone to horrible false-alerts.

False alerts are the enemy of security in several ways. First, if you receive a good number of false alerts, your brain naturally starts to filter out the notification sound, because you have trained your brain that the alert means nothing. This means you might not even hear the alert anymore as your ears become brain-deaf to the sound. Next, if you cannot or do not become brain-deaf to the notifications, then you will likely just shut off the alerts...in which case it doesnt matter if your system has the capability or not.our NVR systems having more processing power, better AI cameras and better software to eliminate these false-alerts.

Most of these systems employ pixel change or video motion to send alerts. This is why they are extremely prone to false notifications and alerts. There are always pixels changing on the screen. With these systems, you find yourself setting motion recording sensitivity lower and lower to try to combat false alerts, until your system is barely ever recording. The truth of the matter is that Chicago property owners want their systems to record far more often than they want alerting. Now, our lateset generation of AI smart cameras deliver deep-learning technology to determine the difference between an animal, human, vehicle and other motion on the screen, ensuring that you will get recording when you need it, but also receive alerts only when you want them. Our systems have so low false-alerts that many of our clients set their system as an emergency bypass, so they will receive alerts even when their phone is silenced.
