While some departments are extending a bit further and asking for remote access to cameras, the majority just want to build a map showing where the cameras are located. Many pre-boxed systems from Q-See, Lorex, NightOwl and others come with cameras that may not perform as well as you intended initially. These systems may be cheap, but they often don't provide the best quality recording. Another security flaw found in pre-packaged security camera systems from Qsee, Lorex and many more. This new flaw - a backdoor password that allows anyone access to your cameras. At least they hid the password, which cannot be changed in an obscure place...right in the online manual for the DVR. Good job guys. For you, might be time to rethink your approach to securing your facility.
